In Amritsar five youths were arrested on charges of fraud ,criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust. These youths were involved in a racket of leaking IELTS exam and giving answer keys to the candidates illegally.
These five youths were identified as Navpreet Singh , Simranjit Singh , Sandeep Singh, Jujbir Singh and Surinder Singh. Under Sections 406, 420, 120-B, IPC and 25 and 27, Arms Act case has been filed against them in Civil Lines police station Amritsar.
They were also involved in making money from drugs and other criminal activities. They make fool of innocent youths that their IELTS will be cleared and also took 30,000 to 40,000 from candidates if they got good bands.
Police told that Navi and his partners were arrested from a hotel before the IELTS exam and also took their SUV Fortuner in custody.
Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh Inspector General told that these racketeers were staying in a hotel with many boys and girls who has given the answer keys and papers to students. He also said that this answer key did not match with the question paper so the exam is not cancelled. And many complaints has been sent about this leakage of papers and answer key to Cambridge University . 12 students are founded who have this leaked question paper and answer key. Number of students will be more after further investigation.
