The Passengers who are expecting that the Wi-Fi facility on Chandigarh Railway Station implements by this year will have to wait for another six months.
Railway officers said that after the collaboration between public sector undertakings, Railtel Corporation of India limited, and Google to supply services at 400 railway stations across the country, the Chandigarh railway station will get the service of Wi-Fi next year in the month of June.
The Chief Public relations Officer also announced that the Wi-Fi service will be provided in June next year. He said that the implementation of technical things is at the first stage and to install Wi-Fi a service at railway station is done second stage should be processed to work.
Earlier Northern Railway had determine that the Wi-Fi installation is not complete yet but it is possible to complete it with the month of June. Railtel explained that for first 30 minutes the internet on Wi-Fi is free then it can be charged to user but it is available for 24 hours of the day.
They explained the speed of internet on Wi-Fi is so much high that a movie can be easily downloaded with couple of minutes. This project is delayed for less time but it add another feature in the “City Beautiful”.
