Gurudwara Godari Sahib is situated near to Faridkot Kotkapura road. This beautiful Gurudwara was built in 1982 and later, a Sant Sarovar was constructed at the site. It is believed that Baba Sheikh Farid left his jacket here. The Gurudwara is visited especially on Thursday to take a holy dip in the sarovar.

On October 14 in Bargari village of punjab, Punjab police opened fire on a demonstration against the alleged desecration of the Sikh holy book. In that firing a father of three children, and another man were killed. This issue is getting serious as day are passing.

A woman and a granthi were arrested on Monday in Punjab on charges of desecration of the holy Guru Granth Sahib. Senior Superintendent of Amritsar Police Jasdeep Singh Saini told media that those arrested included granthi Jagdeep Singh of Amritsar district and Balwinder Kaur of Ludhiana.

Today the Doubling Project of Ambala-Chandigarh track has been successfully commissioned by Northern Railway. the track will be of 22.71 km. RK Kardam who is Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety has declared this on 4 and 5 October. This work was approved in the year 2010-11 and the cost was estimated Rs 338.54 cr.
