Only 17 candidates have turned out to be eligible for the 180 MBBS and BDS seats reserved under the NRI quota in the state this year. Of the 64 applicants, only 17 applicants have been found to be eligible. Therefore, over 160 NRI quota seats are set to merge into the general category. Now, private and government medical and dental colleges are set to incur massive losses.
