A preliminary probe termed the clash between inmates at Nabha jail on May 23 as a result of gang war and hints at “lapses on part of jail staff who failed to act timely”. The probe report will soon be submitted to the Patiala Deputy Commissioner, who will forward it to the government for necessary action.
