City girl Taniya Bhatia has been named in the India ‘A’ squad for the warm up game against New Zealand. The New Zealand women team is slated to play five ODI’s and three T20 matches. The tour starts with a warm-up match on June 26 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. “It’s a huge platform for me. I know if I do well there, I can be in mix for the India team,” an elated Taniya said. The 17-yearold wicketkeeper-batswoman has been on a fine-run for the past few months. This month in the women’s Challenger Trophy, she was part of the India Green team and scored 67 off 101 balls against India Blue.
