Amritsar and Patiala were tied on the first innings as Patiala chasing Amritsar 1st inning total of 250 were also bowled out for 250 in the Punjab Inter-District Under-23 Cricket Tournament for Umesh Kumar Trophy today.
Patiala, resuming at overnight 153 for 5, lost their overnight opening batsman Harinder Singh for 78 through a run out by Vinay Choudhary. The other not out batsman Manvir Singh carried the bat through the innings to notch up 65 off 103 balls inclusive 8x4s and 1×6. At one stage Patiala were 222 for 9 but last wicket stand of 28 between Randeep Rathi (10) and Manvir Singh took the total to 250. At that stage Randeep Rathi was trapped in front by Vinay Choudhary with both the teams tied at 250. For Amritsar Kamal Passi 4 for 60, Vinay Choudhary 3 for 94 were the most successful bowler.
