Deputy Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha Captain Amarinder Singh today ruled out the possibility of floating a new party. Interacting with the mediapersons after addressing a rally to begin with his mass contact programme at Jalandhar Cantonment, Captain Singh said he is a loyal member of the party and had never thought about leaving the party. His response came to a query with regard to the showcause notices issued to his three supporters Muktsar MLA Karan Kaur Brar, Jalandhar Rural Congress President Jagbir Singh Brar and former MP and PPCC general secretary Satnam Singh Kainth by the disciplinary committee of the PPCC. Terming the notices uncalled for, Captain Singh said the notices issued at the time when he was going to hold mass contact programme to strengthen the party in the state was nothing else than the frustration of the PPCC chief Pratap Singh Bajwa. He said this action of Bajwa had reflected his poor leadership and grip over the party. He said what was the fun on the part of the PPCC chief to un- necessary harass the leaders of the party even after they had explained their position about their inability to not attending the Adampur rally on June 12.
