Punjab to come out with mobile app for farmers

Punjab govt is all set to introduce mobile app for the facilitation of farmers to give them to access to current and agriculture related market information and developments. Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the farmers will be able to get information about agriculture development, including latest techniques to sow the crops, availability and right type of fertilizer, herbicide, pesticides and weather prediction. He said that this mobile app will prove a boon for farmers. He further said that this mobile app is a revolutionary idea for agricultural reform so that the peasants can choose seeds on the basis of price and productivity. He said that this application also provides information related to weather at the time of sowing & harvesting, to the farmer in order to save their crops from unfavorable climate conditions.
