The Punjab government has notified instructions to withdraw the policy of according five additional marks to the candidates belonging to the rural areas in the direct recruitment of government jobs. Announcing this here today an official spokesperson for the Personnel Department said with the issuance of notification regarding the withdrawal of five additional marks to the rural candidates in future during the direct recruitment of Government jobs, the earlier directions issued by the Punjab government on March 18, 2011, April 4, 2011 and January 6, 2012 have been annulled with immediate effect.
