Seven of 23 water samples from cholera-hit Manimajra fail test

The real culprit behind cholera breakout in Manimajra is contaminated water, this was revealed by the health department after examination of water samples collected from Manimajra.According to director health services, Chandigarh, Dr VK Gagneja, as many as seven out of 23 water samples collected from the area have failed the bacteriological test. He said hydrogen sulfide test, which is bacteriological examination, was performed on the samples and it was found that the water was unfit for human consumption. He said they have also informed the MC officials about the test reports.
