Fatehgarh Sahib digitises arms licences

Fatehgarh Sahib has become the first district in the state where all information related to arms licences and weapons is being uploaded and digitisation has been made mandatory. The district administration had initiated the campaign, said Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha. The NIC has developed a software for the project. The Centre has made it mandatory to digitise information related to all arms licences and weapons across the country in the National Database for Arms Licence (NDAL) to be maintained by the Ministry of Home affairs. This process has to be completed by October 1.
