Punjab, Haryana likely to get rain next week

Punjab and Haryana will get widespread rainfall with moderate winds next week and farmers have been asked to withhold the sowing of pigeon pea, the wather serveice of a leading agricultural varsity said on Friday.There is possibility of change in weather from June 21 night. Widespread rainfall with moderate winds will occur in the region between June 22 and 24,” said a statement from the Integrated Agromet Advisory Service Unit of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University at Hisar.

The average wind speed would range between seven and 14 kilometre per hour, it added.
