In the year 1699, Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhs, visited Talwandi and stayed here for about a year.He blessed this place as ‘Guru Ki Kashi’. ‘Guru Ki Kashi’ means Place of Knowledge and Learning.
