Bathinda city gets name from Bhati kings and is one of the oldest city of Punjab. Bathinda is also known as city of lakes. Bathinda consists of two thermal power plants, Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant and Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant at Lehra Mohabbat. In northern India Bathinda is one of the major producers of food grain and cotton markets. In Bhatinda you can enjoy by visiting lots of places like Zoological garden which is a plant nursery and also has a small zoo in the center of a small forest.
Rose Garden was built on 10-acre land and it has an immense variety of rose plants and is a good picnic spot where you can enjoy with your family and near dear ones. Then here is Qila Mubarak which is one of the oldest monuments and has further two Gurdwaras as the tenth Sikh guru Gobind Singh stay at the place.
