At present, apart from Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express passing through Nagpur, there is daily train to Pune in the form of Nagpur-Pune Express and Garib Rath. Nagpur and surrounding districts have a sizeable Sikh community. Most of these families still have strong connections with Punjab and frequently travel to the northern state.
