Punjab Police has busted a Pakistan-Mumbai trans-border heroin smuggling network with the arrest of five people, including a BSF constable. Police have so far seized five kg heroin, two cars, Pak SIM card and Rs 68 lakh cash. Claiming this here today, Bathinda Zone IGP Paramraj Singh Umranangal told mediapersons that police arrested five people, identified as Jasraon village resident BSF constable Harpartap Singh (25) posted at BoP SS Wala in Abohar Sector, Harbir Singh alias Bhola of village Naushehra Dhalla (Amritsar), Nachhatar Singh alias Satta of village Hashimpura (Amritsar), Buta Singh and Gurbachan Singh alias Bittu both of village Sidhwan (Tarn Taran). He said that the police seized Rs 68 lakh cash from the house of Harpartap Singh, two cars, One Pak SIM card, Indian mobile handsets and SIM cards and five kg heroin. A case under NDPS Act has been registered in police station Sadar Jalalabad.
