City lad 7th in JEE

Local lad Himanshu Gupta has done the city proud by bagging the seventh position in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced, 2015. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the names of the top 10 rank holders this evening.Himanshu is a student of Shivalik Public School, Sector 41. He said nine hours of study and one hour of sports activity were the key to his success. He wants to get admission to the Indian Institute of Technology

The JEE (Advanced) was held in May this year. About 1.22 lakh students had appeared for the exam across India competing for nearly 10,000 seats in the IITs.
