For the fourth time in the past six months, the hearing on the deadlock on the last rites judgment of Ashutosh, the “clinically dead” sect head of Noormahal (Jalandhar)-based Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan (DJJS), was adjourned on Tuesday.As the hearing began, a Punjab government counsel requested the division bench of justices SK Mittal and MS Chauhan to adjourn the hearing as Ranjit Kumar, solicitor general of India, who is appearing on behalf of the Punjab government, could not appear. Following the Punjab government request, the hearing was adjourned to September 29.
