In a fresh notice, citing a communication from the Medical Council of India, the college director-principal said that the January circular of conducting entrance examination for NRI candidates stood cancelled.
The college also said that now the NRI admissions would be done on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2. Significantly, GMCH-32 had conducted a separate entrance examination for NRI candidates on June 21 for six seats. Only four candidates could clear the entrance examination out of 24, who had appeared in the examination. Now, with this decision, the NRI candidates hailing from Chandigarh will get preference.
