The Punjab Government today extended the last date of pending instalments of properties of Improvement Trusts and for the regularisation the connections of water and sewage supply to 31 July 2015.
Mr. Anil Joshi said that keeping the view of public interest, Local Government department has decided to extend the date. He said that for the possession of the property of Improvement Trusts, owners should deposit the all pending instalments by 31 July. He clarified that this exemption has been allowed on the properties acquired before 25 November 2013 by Improvement Trusts.
The Local Government Minister said that department also decided to provide relaxation for regularisation the illegal water and sewage connections for this owners should only deposit the amount of one year of user charges. He further said that strict action would be taken from August 1, 2015 onward against beneficiaries, who will fail to regularise their connections. He warned that three years of user charges, connection fee, road cutting charges would be recovered from the defaulters.
