The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) examination for admission to various undergraduate programmes on Wednesday. Giving details, PAU registrar PK Khanna said as many as 4,902 students appeared for the CET, seeking admission to four-year BSc Agriculture (Hons), four-year BSc Biotech (Hons), four-year BTech Food Technology, four-year BSc (Hons) Home Science, four-year BSc (Hons) Nutrition and Dietetics, and five-year integrated MSc (Hons) programme in Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology and Zoology. PAU Controller of Examination NK Khullar said, “The CET received overwhelming response from the students from across the state. Against 5,417 applications, 2,540 boys and 2,362 girls appeared for the test.”It indicates that the PAU is a favorite destination of the students for receiving education in agriculture and allied fields, he highlighted.
