No lion safari after 5 pm disappoints visitors

The decision of the Chhat Bir zoo authorities to not to allow visitors inside the lion safari after 5 pm has been disappointing visitors. A large number of people, who come to visit the zoo from the far-flung areas, return disappointed as the zoo authorities have restricted the entry to the safari after 5 pm from June 14 onwards. Pradeep Kumar, a tourist who came to the zoo from Faridabad with six of his family members, said the contractor, who operates buses inside the safari, refused to give them tickets after 5 pm.
“This was ridiculous. They allowed entry inside the zoo but refused entry to the lion safari. If the authorities had to deny entry to the safari, then they should have informed us when we were buying the entry tickets,” he said. Manish Kumar, Field Director,of the zoo, said they do not have permission to ply buses inside the lion safari after 5 pm, which was feeding time for animals.
