With an aim to encourage women to come forward and register their complaints with the police, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, will inaugurate the first all-women police station of the district at Mansa Devi Complex (MDC), Sector 6, on August 28. Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij, who is also an MLA from Ambala, will inaugurate a similar police station in Ambala on the same day.Speaking at a press conference organised at the Mini-Secretariat in Sector 1, Commissioner of Police (CP), O P Singh, said the police station would start functioning from August 28 itself. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Purnima Singh, will be the head in-charge, while Inspector Balwinder Kaur Bali will the Station House Officer (SHO).
