Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday called on the bereaved family of Nek Chand, the creator of Rock Garden, to express condolences on his demise here last week. Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family especially Chand’s son Anuj Saini at his residence in Sector 27, the Chief Minister appreciated the outstanding contribution of Nek Chand in promoting art and culture through the creation of Rock Garden. Badal said that Nek Chand’s pursuit of excellence was a blend of creativity, aesthetics, hard work and zeal to serve the society in his own humble way.
Nek Chand, 90, died here last week following illness.
