The city of Chandigarh and most parts of Punjab and Haryana witnessed a pleasant morning on Tuesday with some areas experiencing showers, weather. On Monday, most areas received relief from the scorching 40-plus temperatures and in most places, the maximum temperature ranged from 36 to 39 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh recorded a high of 38.2 degrees Celsius on Monday while Bhiwani in Haryana had a high of 36.4 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 39 degrees Celsius while in Ludhiana, the mercury stood at 38.5 degrees
