Rains on Wednesday lashed few parts of Punjab and Haryana, with maximum temperatures remaining far below normal level in most parts of both the states.Union Territory Chandigarh had a high of 36.8 degrees Celsius, a MeT department report said today. Among other places in Haryana, Ambala, Hisar and Karnal settled at 35.2 degrees Celsius, 32 degrees Celsius and 34.4 degrees Celsius respectively, down by up to eight notches below normal.
