Former Punjab Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal today said the controversy over the change of leadership of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) should be resolved soon so that the party could function smoothly and effectively and without any kind of disruption and disturbance from any faction of the party prevailing presently. Ms Bhattal was in the city today to pay tributes to Ms Swadesh Chopra, wife of Punjab Kesri Group Chief Editor Vijay Chopra, on her last prayer ceremony. She said that the time had come to take a bold decision in this regard as soon as possible to take the SAD and other political outfits in the state to task. Ms Bhattal said that she knew that two factions are working in the PPCC and are led by Deputy Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha Captain Amarinder Singh and PPCC Chief Pratap Singh Bajwa respectively. Functioning of two separate factions in the party does not mean that the party had divided. Difference of opinion always is there.
