The maximum temperature across Haryana and Punjab on Sunday plunged by upto nine notches, a day after rains lashed several parts in the two states, providing much-needed relief to people from hot weather conditions.Hisar, which generally turns out to be the hottest place in the two states during summers, was the coolest town in the region today with maximum temperature at 31.6 degrees Celsius, nine notches below normal.
