The Punjab and Haryana high court instructed the Punjab government to occupy vacant NRI category seats of MBBS and BDS courses in state colleges by calling candidates from the general category who have got minimum 50 percent marks in the Punjab Pre-Medical Entrance Test (PMET)-2015.
According to the current news there are around 100 MBBS seats in the NRI quota are available in private and government medical colleges of Punjab. Among all of them Only 64 eligible NRI candidates had applied, of which 17 had qualified.
