Thousands of people today paid their last respect to Gurbachan Kaur Bajwa, mother of Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa and wife of former Punjab Minister Satnam Singh Bajwa. She was cremated at Qadian town.
She was 85. The pyre was lit by his elder son Brigadier MPS Bajwa alonwith S Partap Singh Bajwa and S Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa, Charanjit Kaur Bajwa MLA Qadian was also present at the cremation. Gurbachan Kaur Bajwa’s husband too was a well-known political leader of the region. She had not been keeping well for the past sometime. Various Congress leaders were present at the cremation to pay their respect last.
