A youth today allegedly tried to commit suicide in the office of Senior Superintendent of Police Batala while consuming some poisonous substance here today. Sushil Kumar, a resident of this industrial town had borrowed money from private money lenders who allegedly assaulted him . In the meantime, he went to SSP office to lodge a complaint against them with a suicide note. As soon as he reached outside the office he consumed poison. He was taken to a private nursing home by police but was referred to another private nursing home Amristdar, where his condition is stated be very critical.
