Chandigarh: Punjab Additional Director General of Police (ADGP, Crime) IPS Sahota on Tuesday said two accused in sacrilege of the Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari village in Faridkot District have been arrested.
The accused have been identified as Rupinder Singh and his brother Jaswinder. Their involvement in the crime came to fore after police intercepted their calls.
A woman and a granthi were arrested on Monday in Punjab on charges of desecration of the holy Guru Granth Sahib. Senior Superintendent of Amritsar Police Jasdeep Singh Saini told media that those arrested included granthi Jagdeep Singh of Amritsar district and Balwinder Kaur of Ludhiana.
