A gang of international drug smugglers having connections with Pakistan were arrested by CIA wing of Mohali Police.
The three were members of “most wanted” foreign-made firearms, with Pakistani double-magazine Sten gun, 31 Mobile phones, and 190 live cartridges with a Pakistani SIM card. A swift card was also with them in Kharar area here.
The person’s name are Gurjant Singh (26), Sandip Singh (25) and Jatinder Singh (34) belongs to Ludhiana were also involved in Smuggling of heroin with other drugs from Pakistan and a large quantity of other drugs and various cases of murder, robbery, dacoity and take away vehicles forcibly.
SSP of Mohali explained that the Sten gun (.9mm), two other pistols (.30 bore) and an airgun were recovered from them. Other members have not arrested yet.
He said that in 2010, this gang had smuggled 1.24 quintals heroin from Pakistan. Then they smuggled 1.44 quintals of heroin and firearms. He said we are investigating where they want to sell this huge quantity of drugs.
