Conceived under an unfortunate star, Kanan is told he should wed a tree before he can marry his adolescence sweetheart, as the custom will scrub him of his misfortune. Grudgingly, he concurs. To his stun, he winds up being trailed by an unearthly soul known as Shashi, who used to live in the tree. The befuddled soul now gets herself caught in the human realm, and Kanan must help her arrival to her own realm.
