Chief Minister-designate Amarinder Singh said that he will go for a simple swearing-in ceremony because Punjab is already in the financial doldrums. In the oath-taking programme at the Raj Bhavan, there will be nothing ostentatious going to happen on Thursday morning. V P Singh Badnore who is the Punjab Governor will administer the oath of new Punjab CM Amarinder Singh.
Capt Amarinder Singh will take his oath as Punjab CM in presence of CLP leader and a few members of his cabinet. He has already made it very clear that he don’t want any unnecessary expenditure on the swearing-in ceremony.
The new government of the Punjab is committed to getting the Punjab out of the financial doldrums. Punjab is currently in financial doldrums into which it had been plunged by the previous government. He also said that we will ensure that we will save every possible rupee at this critical juncture.
President of PPCC has requested all the newly elected MLAs to keep their personal invitations to a minimum and keep the oath-taking ceremony simple. Capt Amarinder Singh requested the supporters to show similar restraint and don’t cause any hardship to people of the city.
CM-designate told that I will personally visit all the districts of Punjab to express my gratitude to people of Punjab for their support after the constitutional requirements of government formation are completed. And also requested to the people of Punjab to support his government’s efforts and bring the Punjab’s growth and development back on track.
