Again, The case of farmers committed suicide came in front. They both were the inhabitants of Bathinda district, Punjab. They were identified as Farmer Jasbir Singh and Farmer Jaskaran Singh .Farmer Jasbir Singh was from Gill Patti village, Bathinda. He finished his life by jumping into a lake in Bathinda. He ended his life following a land debate. His body was found in the dawn.
The police have booked Teja Singh on the complaint of expired wife Husanpreet Kaur. He is also from the same village.
His wife claimed that her husband had moved into a land deal with Teja Singh, who had given Rs20,000 to Jasbir as loan .
The deal got cancelled and her husband returned Rs20,000 to Teja Singh, but Teja Singh wanted Rs 20,000 more as per the agreement.
She also claimed that Teja Singh pressurized and menaced them many a time, owing to which her husband terminated his life.
In another case, Jaskaran Singh committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. He was from Lehra Khana village, Bathinda district, Punjab.
Jaskaran Singh was facing financial issues. The GRP(Government Railway Police) have lodged this case under Section 174 of the IPC.
Jasveer Kaur(deceased’s mother ) said- he was her only son and owned 2.5 acres. He had to hand money to his wife after divorce. He had grabbed a loan of Rs 4 lakh.
