In last year there were two terrorists attacks in Pathankot and Gurdaspur so the parliamentary standing committee have brought for on home affairs to the Punjab State.
Their visit to the state starts from Today. First they visit to Gurdaspur they the members also visit to Pathankot airbase for understanding all the issues of security across the border and verify that threats which needs to be addressed immediately.
The committee will visit to main centers of threat and then discuss it with the officials of (BSF) Border Security Force and the Intelligence Bureau of the state.
30 battalions from the state and 10 companies from the central paramilitary forces raised the wake of religious unrest in Punjab last year have now sent back.
Sources said that this committee is headed by Rajya Sabha MP P Bhattacharya.
