An 18-year-old girl had suffered from rape and The police can not helped her. The girl had to shuttlecock between police station before she request the punjab and Haryana High Court which has now decided the Batala SSP to look into her problems before registering a case.
The girl had complained to the High Court after her parents divorced . She had been living with her father, who had been raping her. After that she started living with her mother.Her father lives in an area which follows the Sekhwan police station while her mother lives in an area which follows the Dera Baba Nanak police station. Both are in Batala police district.
The girl started living with her mother and registered a complaint at Dera Baba Nanak Police of her rape.
The police can not listen the jurisdictional problems. She was told to complaint the Sekhwan police station because the raping house was located in this area police station .
When i went to the Sekhwan police station. I was again sent back to the Dera Baba Nanak Police. This harassment continue for many days before someone advised me to complain the Senior Superintendent of Police Daljinder Singh Dhillon. I went to meet SSP and finally i got justice. After that he directed me to go to the Women Cell and tell all problems to them that she was suffered.
In her complaint to the Court she told that she was raped for six months and was kept in locked room.Then girl decided to leave her father house and started living with her mother.The SSP said the Senior officer to inquire all situation. When it was brought to my knowledge that the police were not registering the case. Those police officers who did not registered her case were suspended.
