Yesterday the budget of finance (BoF) for Punjab University which is headed by Vice-Chancellor approved the budget for 2016-17.
The budget proposal of the University will get 430 crore Rs under the non-plan head and money for under plan head ids Rs 87 crore.
The varsity income touches 210 crore Rupees that is 10 crore more than 2015. This budget will be verified by the Syndicate and then the Senate for completion. The varsity was expecting that the finance this time raises Rs 52.44 crore in fee from the courses which are partially-self financed courses. The administration will expect that the money will spend in exam is 96.54 crore, for traditional courses Rs 7.92 crore and CET fees will 16.12 crore Rs and for hostels Rs 9.45 crore Rs.
The University also adjust 3.81 crore Rs for sports and 8.65 crore Rs for other resources. UGC will do a meeting and accept the budget hope so in next week.
