The Punjab Petroleum Dealers corporation has pressurize to launch a three phase strike from 19 October to force the Union Government to fulfill their demands including review of dealers margin every six months and suitable rate of petroleum products across the country.As part of the nationwide fighters the dealers in Punjab will close their petrol pumps and complete blackout from 7 pm to 7.15 pm on October 19 and October 26 in the state. This time all lights of petrolpump will switched off and the sale will be suspended for this time.
The nationwide strike has been done by All India Petrolpump Dealers corporation having conduct by 24 states the Consortium of Indian Petroleum Dealers has include support to the call. The dealers also fight to support No Purchase policy on November 3 and No sale No purchase policy on November 15 in the second and third phase of strike.
President of the PPDA Sandeep Sehgal asked due to agressive policies of the union government for petroleum dealers around 85 percent petrol pump in punjab were facing heavy losses.The dealers slammed the ministry for security of the oil companies and collaborate with them to earn huge margins.
The customers have complained about the presence of some water in their oil tanks. Sehgal said the oil companies provides only pour oil it settle down at the bottom and attract moisture.
