A student of DIPS Management College was admitted in a Pathankot hospital after she has taken poison.
College authorities told that the girl tried to commit suicide because of depression at home but her relatives said that in college she consumed phenyl because college authorities were harassing her over the fees.
This girl belongs to the OBC category. Her uncle told that she was being harassed from a long time for fees. When she took admission the college authorities told that only RS 3000 was her annual fees. But currently they started charging Rs 5000 fee from her and told that government is not paying them. And also she has been barred from appearing in one exam. So yesterday in college she consumed phenyl . Some of the students bring her to the hospital and after half hour college authorities came to meet us.
Chief Executive Officer of the DIPS, Monica told that all this is false and trying to drag the college in to controversy . Also the CEO told that they did not ask students for money they only remind them about the pending sum of fees.
Sukhpal Singh SHO of Maqsudan police station told that the girl said that she consumed poison because she was emotionally disturbed. Also today BSP zonal coordinator Balwinder Singh came to meet her and said that appropriate actions should be taken against the college who is harassing poor students over the fees.
