Navjot Singh Sidhu who was a Former BJP MP was set to join Congress Party on Tuesday. But Sidhu fails to show up and left the party leaders wondering whether cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu had a change of heart.
Some of the sources said that Navjot Singh Sidhu was scheduled to meet Rahul Gandhi who is the vice-president of the Congress. Those who are in touch with former BJP MP Sidhu told that he could join the Congress party on January 13.
Congress party will set to field Gurjit Singh Aujla as its candidate for the Amritsar Lok Sabha by-election. Congress party head had recently offered the seat to Sidhu.
Congress party sources said that we are hoping that Navjot Singh Sidhu will join Congress party by January 16 .
