A car on Wednesday caught fire here in sector 23 and 24 , however, no one was injured in the incident . The interior of the car was completely gutted in the fire while car’s engine was safe. Traffic was halted for few minutes for dousing the flames.

Patiala police recovered 53 stolen cars, valued at Rs 6 crore, from a Meerut-based man in Delhi. It was culmination of planned crackdown on robbery and theft of vehicles, which lasted 10 days. Most of the cars recovered are either Toyota Fortuner or Innova and mostly purchased by Punjab-based businessmen and farmer families.

Two youths were killed when the bike they were riding on collided head on with a car coming from opposite direction near Hakima village in near Moga.
