The annual three-day Shaheedi Jor mela ended on Monday among religious fervor. A Nagar kirtan led by Panj Pyaras was taken from the Gurduwara Fatehgarh Sahib to Gurduwara Jyoti Swarup Sahib.
The persons were participated in the Nagar Kirtan are Jathedar Patna Sahib Giani Iqbal Singh, Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh, Golden temple head priest Jagtar Singh, SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar, Damdami Taksal head Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa and Budha Dal Baba Balbir Singh.
There was so much cold but the numerous devotees from different parts of country and from foreign also attend this ceremony.
There are various school bands, gatka teams, Nihangs, Kirtani jathas, Sukhmani Sahib Sewa Societies, students from Mata Gujari College, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University and Akal Academy Baru Sahib took part in various cultural items.
Social and political parties also attend the functions and other religion parties were also come to participate. The main eye catcher movement was when the traditional martial arts “gatkas” displayed by Gatkas teams and Nihangas.
