Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan teachers salary dispute has been reached the Punjab and Haryana court yesterday. These teachers did not get the salary from previous six months. All the petitioners asked the High Court to direct the government and the Union Ministry of HRD to solve this dispute between them. And also make sure that petitioners and other teachers employed under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan get their salaries as soon as possible and get their salaries on time in future without any interruption.
Bikramjeet Singh and 11 other teachers moved to the High court yesterday. And said that the Punjab government is failed to submit the certification of funds which was given earlier so the MHRD is not releasing the funds. There are near around 12,000 teachers who have not been paid their salaries for the past six months who are surviving on loan from the private institutes.
These teachers said that they were starving under these circumstances and said that the state government should have given priority to payment of salaries to the teachers.
After the hearing, the HC Bench of Justice Jaishree Thakur issued the notice to the Punjab government, Director General School Education, and Union Human Resources Development Ministry.
