From the international airport of Mohali which was last year in September inaugurated by the PM Narendra Modi first international flight of Air India Express takes off to Sharjah UAE last evening.
There were 182 passengers in this flight which includes CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and his 40 members. The flight take off around at 6:35 PM from the airport. Also a flight from the Sharjah UAE landed on Mohali airport at 5.15 PM which have 128 passengers . At the airport this flight was welcomed with a “water salute” .
A function was organised on the airport . CM Parkash Singh Badal and Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju who is the Union Aviation Minister attended this function . Also CM of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar was scheduled to come to this function but he didn’t came. Both the CM and Union Aviation Minister told that it is the overall progress of the state.
Union Aviation Minister told that he was so happy about this because this will help Punjab and other neighboring states in getting benefits and also wished good luck to CM who gone to the Gulf with his members for opening new trade avenues .
He also said that we will connect with the other parts of the world very soon. This is a continuous process and many airlines wants to start their flights from here. He told that Indian players showing interest for starting flights from here so we will promote them.
