Today the kisan rath yatra is going to begin by the Congress in the state. This is a three days yatra. In upcoming elections Congress is going to highlight farmers. To show the great sorrow at the anaj mandis of the Malwa region for the ongoing paddy procurement season.
For this yatra a special bus was hired and the Capt Amarinder Singh who is the Punjab Congress chief is going to board on this bus. This specially designed bus pattern is based on the bus yatra which was undertaken in Uttar Pradesh.
This Kisan yatra coincide with the Karza-Kurki Khatam and Fassal Di Poori Rakam Punjab Congress ongoing outreach programme .
Sources said that the vice-president of the Congress Rahul Gandhi has planned to visit Punjab on Diwali which was postponed. So he will pay a visit to Punjab In second week of November.
Some leaders of the party told that in this yatra Amarinder will be seen travelling for three continuous days. In this yatra 500 km will be covered of around eight districts of the Malwa region with the use of a mobile public address platform for the meetings.
Kisan Yatra is being started from Bagha Purana today and it will be ended at Bathinda. This Yatra will touch Kotkapura, Faridkot, Muktsar, Ferozepore also. As well as the chief of the PPCC will visit 10 mandis.
