Today, the State Government re-evaluate the costs for mid-day meal.The vile cost is hike by 2.65 per cent for over all the primary and the upper primary students of government schools.
The per day meal cost for primary and upper primary level is increased from Rs 3.76 to Rs 3.86 and Rs 5.64 to Rs 5.78 respectively. The manager of Punjab mid-day meal scheme,Prabhcharan Singh reads a letter to all the officers of district education that revised cost is effected from January 01,2016.
It became impossible for teachers to meet the cooking cost with the cost that government give to them as the inflation Increases day by day. Due to the hike in the amount of pulses, oil, rice its impossible for the cooks to cook food for the children.
The teachers are also mentioned that the revised cost is not helping them as that much.
