30 Congress MLAs were protesting in the Vidhan Sabha House. They were protesting because they wants a fresh debate on no-confidence motion. These 30 MLAs out which 4 are women MLAs were staying in the House. Because of this protest Punjab assembly staff were suffering.
Charanjit Singh Channi told that they will not go from the house till Wednesday which is the sessions last day . All these MLAs stayed for 4 hours without food and water and also the lights and air-conditioners were also switched off.
Shashi Mishra secretary of Punjab assembly was also staying in assembly with the assembly staff told that there is no need of indefinite sit-in inside the assembly. We have requested them to go home but they had refused. Also the staff of assembly was not be able to go their homes and the AC system was controlled by the Chandigarh administration staff which left in the day . They are not removed forcefully. Efforts of the assembly staff and senior police officers has been failed.
Amrinder Singh Raja MLA and Indian Youth Congress president told that on the orders of the state government assembly staff is making us more and more uncomfortable. We were sitting in the darkness. Also the speaker said in a message that their demands cannot be accepted because voting has been already done on the no-confidence motion.
